Abstract
dc:description.abstractA childhood built on deceit has prevented an older, meditative Hank from accepting the truth as he recounts his life. Desperate to learn who his father is, a fifteen year-old Hank runs away from his home into the vastness of the American Great Plains in the summer of 1927. He quickly learns that he isn’t who he thought he was, and that almost nothing in the world is what he imagined. In the retelling of his life, Hank accepts his own mistakes and tries to explain his warped and skewed views on the world: the thrills of a journey with no true destination.
