Many researchers focus on reconciliation and forgiveness, which creates a narrow focus and does not cover those who do not wish to remain in their relationship after experiencing partner infidelity. This research examined the process participants utilized to overcome their experience of their partner’s infidelity. This research looked at the actions participants took to overcome partner infidelity and relationship dissolution that worked as well as what did not work.
