Abstract

dc:description.abstract

High School English teacher Jim Houp doesn't just want to be liked. He wants to be adored. He doesn't just want to help his students; he wants to be their savior. Jim thrives when he is the center of attention. He is the handsome, energetic teacher principals put on display as an example of dedication and commitment. Loved by his students, honored by his school, he was named teacher of the year for the district. However, when he is accused of sexual abuse by his favorite student, the attention he craves threatens to destroy his life. Judgment (100,000 words) explores how a once-celebrated teacher could become an accused predatory child rapist.
