Abstract
dc:descriptionThe novel, The Fourth Expedition, which follows a collection of poetry, Things Visible and Things Invisible, already presented in the first year of the Masters, is based on the journals of a nineteenth century explorer of the Australian continent. Built into the story is the relationship between the explorer and a woman who is also a historic figure and an acknowledged artist, a painter.
