Pembury and Countryville, through the implementation of the sport education curriculum model. The research focuses on sport education, a recent innovative curriculum model which promotes recruitment to the movement culture by attracting to sport whilst fulfilling varied roles in organising and participating in activities, as an alternative model promoting a wide range of outcomes. The research was conducted within a contemporary context where current educational initiatives, national curriculum and outcome based education, and a so-called crisis in physical education, particularly for adolescents, have been highlighted over the last five years. This context has also called for more enlightened forms of assessment, in general, and for authentic assessment in physical education in particular.","abstract_html":"This study investigates physical education assessment in three secondary schools, Beauview.
