"Trans-switching" of the electrodermal response

<p>The purpose of this study was to investigate "trans-switching" through EDR conditioning. "Trans-switching" is a phenomenon which consists of a single CS evoking differential CRs as a function of the environmental background in which the organism is situated during CS presentation. Russian investigators have demonstrated the phenomenon in dogs using salivation and/or the electrodefensive response. The present study was an attempt to systematically replicate the Russian studies using human subjects and the EDR. </p>
