<p>"This thesis discusses a potential connection between immersion programs, second language acquisition, intercultural awareness, and the pre-service English as a Second Language instructors' ability to provide interculturally aware TESL education to their language learners. A review of the literature connected to intercultural awareness and second language acquisition contributes to the discussion of how the two topics are connected and how they combine to inform current United States' TESL programs and education"--Document.</p>
