Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe object of this thesis is to analyse the main dynamics that can arise in a platform market characterized by the platform competition in a two sided market contest. After a brief review of the literature some definitions and examples are provided. Then, the basic model is introduced and the equilibriums are analysed. The main outcome is consistent with the related literature and shows that there are actual differences among goods sold in single homing and multi homing A database has been developed to investigate the dynamic evolution of prices in single-homing and multi-homing. It was found that there is a difference among the patterns of prices of videogames in time.
