Survey data, collected from forced-choice and open-ended items, included comparison to the American Association of University Women's (1990) study, attitudes related to the school environment, and the effects of writing workshop. Descriptive statistics found significance in the areas of academic self-esteem, attitudes toward teacher feedback, attitudes toward the writing workshop environment, perceptions of writing competency, and attitudes toward writing workshop teacher feedback.
