Hospice Nurses Knowledge, Attitudes, and Reported Confidence in End-of-Life Story Telling and Perceptions of the Dying Experience: Intervention Study
Abstract
dc:description.abstract<p>Dying, as a part of living, is a subjective experience. Hospice Nurses provide compassionate care for the dying. Utilizing a quasi-experimental single group repeated measures design, the researcher examined the relationship between an end-of-life story telling class and subsequent nurse’s knowledge, attitudes, and confidence. A convenience sampling method was used. The sample consisted of 6 Hospice Nurse Case Managers. The study findings support offering Hospice Nurses a class on client end-of- life story telling.</p>
