A comparison is made in terms of instrumentation price, cost of reagents, and labor cost savings, while looking at affected population data to weigh whether a purchase of the more expensive of the two instruments could be justified. This project identifies Dignity Health, Kaiser Permanente, and Sutter health as entities which may benefit from centralizing testing for viral load.
