Thomistic Doctrine on Effacious Grace in the Prayer-Life of the Church

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

The object of this paper is to show that the Thomistic concept on efficacious grace bears out the doctrine inherent in the prayers which the Church presents to her faithful in the liturgy. A discussion on efficacious grace and prayer cannot be very meaningful, however until we have laid a groundwork of concepts basic to both, upon which we can base our judgement.
