The Dogmatic Importance of the Doctrineof the Association of Mary with Christ
Abstract
dc:description.abstract
The purpose of this paper is to indicate the dogmatic importance of the doctrine of the association of Mary with Christ. This is a doctrine which is fundamental to the whole of the Church's teaching on our Lady. As we shall see., it is one with the principle of Mary's Divine Maternity, for that principle fully stated is: Mary is the Mother of God-the-Redeemer. The principle of association is basic for the theological reasoning as to the fittingness of the dogmas of the Immaculate Conception and Mary's Assumption, as well as for her other prerogatives, and indeed our devotion to her.
