The Liturgy of the Church in Le Grand Portail Des Morts of Serge Barrault
Abstract
dc:description.abstract
Among the modern French poets, Serge Barrault occupies a very conspicuous place. He is not merely an ordinary Catholic who observes all the externals, hut his whole life is modeled on the ideal of the Church. In the collection of poems on 'death* which he has published under the title of Le Grand Portail des Morts. 1930, Barrault takes a thoroughly Catholic view point. The present Dissertation aims at investigating to what extent he is inspired by the Liturgy and teaching of the Church.
