Research shows that students learn through different modes or styles. This theory is known as Multiple Intelligences. This study hypothesized that students’ self-esteem and motivation will increase with the use of the multiple intelligence theory and curriculum in the classroom. An experiment was conducted to test this hypothesis, with a teacher implementing a whale unit modeled after the multiple intelligence theory in a fourth grade classroom. The results indicated that the use of multiple intelligences promotes self-esteem and motivation in student learning. Furthermore, the use of multiple intelligences empowers students in their own learning and enables success for all.
