Art: A Therapeutic Modality in the Treatment of Adolescents in Crisis
Abstract
dc:description.abstract<p>This paper explores the use of art as a therapeutic modality in the treatment of adolescents in crisis. Contents include an introduction by the author, selected relevant theories on adolescence, the use of art as therapy with adolescents, the psychodynamics of an inpatient adolescent art therapy group supplemented by slides in the Appendix, Discussion and Conclusion. Art is a fundamental tool in the graphic representation and conscious understanding of internal conflicts during the adolescent phase of psycho-social development.</p>
