To analyze photovoltaic self-consumption in the residential sector, it is necessary to determine the electricity consumption profile. This task is very complicated due to consumer variability. This sector covers a great variety of sizes and types of consumers, as well as a great variability of housing occupancy and, therefore, the measurement of final consumption can be very costly. This paper presents a stochastic simulation model from the bottom up (bottom-up) developed with data from the Time Use Survey of the National Institute of Statistics (INE). This algorithm allows the estimation of an average consumption profile in Spain according to the number of household members and the day of the week. Unlike previous research, in this work the average profile is studied and the uses are separated. These results are the basis of self-consumption research, but they can also be very useful for other studies on energy consumption, energy efficiency, demand management, hourly rates, energy policies, etc. The photovoltaic market in the European Union is not uniform, with different policies in each country. These policies, if stable and sustainable over a period of time, can influence decisions and ensure a return on investment. This work studies the profitability of a photovoltaic installation for self-consumption in homes in Spain with the Spanish regulation. To develop this study, the electricity consumption profile of the homes was considered. The difference in profitability was analyzed according to the number of household members. In addition, the impact of the adoption of another type of self-consumption policy (France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and Finland) has been analyzed. For this, all incentives have to be scaled to the Spanish price. El consumo eléctrico en el sector residencial asciende a un 29 % del consumo total en la Unión Europea y un 25 % del consumo total en España. Por lo tanto, se considera muy importante la utilización de la energía fotovoltaica para reducir el consumo de electricidad en las viviendas. Para analizar el autoconsumo fotovoltaico en el sector residencial es necesario determinar el perfil de consumo eléctrico. Esta tarea es muy complicada debido a la variabilidad del consumidor. Este sector cubre una gran variedad de tamaños y tipos de consumidores, como también una gran variabilidad de ocupación de viviendas y por lo tanto, la medición del consumo final puede suponer un coste muy elevado. En este trabajo se presenta un modelo de simulación estocástico de abajo a arriba (bottom-up) desarrollado con los datos de la Encuesta de Uso del Tiempo del Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). Este algoritmo permite la estimación de un perfil medio de consumo en España de acuerdo con el número de miembros de la vivienda y el día de la semana. A diferencia de investigaciones previas, en este trabajo se estudia el perfil medio y los usos están separados. Estos resultados son la base de la investigación del autoconsumo, pero además pueden se muy útiles para otros estudios en consumo de energía, eficiencia energética, gestión de la demanda, tasas horarias, políticas de energía, etc. El mercado fotovoltaico en la Unión Europea no es uniforme, con diferentes políticas en cada país. Estas políticas, si son estables y sostenibles a lo largo de un periodo, pueden influir en las decisiones y asegurar una rentabilidad en la inversión. Este trabajo estudia la rentabilidad de una instalación fotovoltaica de autoconsumo en viviendas en España con la regulación española. Para desarrollar este estudio, el perfil de consumo eléctrico de las viviendas fue considerado. La diferencia de rentabilidad fue analizada de acuerdo con el número de miembros de la vivienda. Además, ha sido analizado el impacto de la adopción de otro tipo de política de autoconsumo (Francia, Alemania, Italia, Gran Bretaña y Finlandia). Por esto, todos los incentivos han de ser escalados al precio español. Los resultados es que todas estas regulaciones presentan mejor rentabilidad que España y las inversiones presentan unos parámetros económicos positivos.
