Por esta razón, la investigación se centra en su estudio, en particular de las competencias matemáticas: Razonamiento y argumentación; Comunicación, representación y modelación; Planteamiento y resolución de problemas. Para darle solución a la anterior problemática se elaboró una estrategia didáctica que le permite al docente, mediante un grupo de acciones y sugerencias didácticas, organizar y dirigir el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la Matemática en esos grados, facilitando el desarrollo de dichas competencias. En la tesis se aportan el objeto matemático, las acciones, procesos generales niveles de desarrollo e indicadores de desempeño, que se constituyen en la estructura para el desarrollo de competencias matemáticas en la Educación Básica Secundaria colombiana.
