Sin embargo, la reflexividad metodológica que han propuesto como herramienta crítica las metodologías cualitativas de las últimas décadas, propone que es quizá por este sendero por el que se habría de comenzar. Experimentar con nuevos abordajes epistemológicos dentro de las ciencias sociales adquiere importancia ante las «otras» voces que se alzan en el campo del saber, y que exigen el reconocimiento de las subjetividades, epistemologías y sentidos del mundo que han sido silenciados por lo que los teóricos descoloniales entienden como sistema-mundo capitalista, colonialista y patriarcal. La presente investigación plantea como objetivo principal configurar una base ontológica y epistemológica de la cual partir en la búsqueda de un modelo alternativo paralas ciencias sociales. Ésta se desarrolla bajo la consideración de la reflexividad metodológica como herramienta crítica, y posicionándose desde un conocimiento situado como un par de elementos principales para la conformación de dicho modelo.
