Metodología de mejora de producción y cadena de suministro en industria alimentaria basada en SMED
Abstract
dc:descriptionNowadays, exists a big industrial competitiveness that, the industry sector required find methods that which guarantee this competition is fulfilled. That is, improve productivity ratios, and other ratios such as quality claims, deliveries, safety, etc. Therefore, the Lean Manufacturing model guarantees the improvement of relationships based on techniques and methodologies that cover several of these aspects. In this case, a study has been carried out on the Single Minute Exchange (SMED) technique, which improves machine changeovers, decreasing the time with the stopped machines, in the production lines. And, as a positive result, we have more time to spend in production, or to other activities that are considered relevant. In this case, not only there is the classic application of the methodology, but also there is combined with the tools of the ideal way of measuring the success of its application. Firstly, we find a study that applies the methodology that SMED follows in the management of the supply chain of spare parts management. The objective is the same as there is in any project in which SMED is applied; however, in this case the application is another alternative in the management of the spare parts; finally, the production lines can start up in the shortest time. In addition, in the application of any project, it is important to have an appropriate measurement method to evaluate the success of the project. Therefore, a measure of results is proposed according to the level of application. That is, at the beginning of an improvement project, it is easier to obtain good results. On the other hand, as the application progresses, it is more difficult to find better results. Therefore, there is no more accurate way to measure performance. Finally, all the tools used within Lean Manufacturing improve a type of losses. In addition, a great advantage is that they can be combined. Therefore, combining the SMED methodology, with center line, in machine changes, you get better results than SMED only.
