Respuesta germinativa y tolerancia al estrés salino en comunidades dunares
Abstract
dc:descriptionThis thesis focuses on the study of 15 species of dune ecosystems of the Gulf of Valencia, in front of a sweep of temperatures and saline concentrations. The following hypothesis is based on the following work: the germinative response is a determining factor in the distribution of plant species in the dune ecosystems. In the study the results were analyzed before 9 conditions of temperature sweep and 5 saline concentrations. A new rate of germination rate is defined, and an index weighing the germination rate and percentage. In addition, four germinative parameters were studied: base temperature, base osmotic potential, thermal time and hydrotime. A multivariate analysis is performed through Principal Component Analysis and Factor Analysis in order to search for possible groupings between species. As a final result it is shown that the germinative variables related to the constant temperatures and the low salinity are those that reflect the distribution or zonation of the species.
