La prevención de riesgos laborales y la accidentalidad laboral en la prensa española: representación y cobertura a partir de la Ley 31/1995 de prevención de riesgos laborales (1994-2014)

After the Law 31/1995 on Prevention of Occupational Risks in Spain, prevention was introduced before healing. This thesis analyzes the impact in society, through its main newspapers by diffusion in its spanish national editions (El País, El Mundo, La Vanguardia and ABC), from 1994 to 2014. Through the quantitative analysis and statistical analysis has been analyzed all the journalistic insertions and its handling of the Agenda-Setting on the subject. Subsequently, a study was carried out through Framing theory on two specific cases and opinion. It was verified that the legislation did not significantly vary the treatment that focus on pain and death, although differences between the newspapers are appreciated. After 2007, attention to work-related accidents fell significantly.
