La gestión, organización y producción de eventos culturales. Un estudio de caso:: Festival Sónar. Music, Creativity & Technology (1994-2013)
Abstract
dc:descriptionThe present thesis aims to review the current situation of events in Spain, focusing on one specific type within the cultural sector: music festivals. This cultural sector, especially when focusing on music festivals, is usually more organized and has more impact on the venues than other types. They present visible organizational phases that are being followed in order to achieve a flawless event. We can clearly see how music festivals have become a cultural product that raises important commercial interests and therefore becoming a highly demanded tool to promoters and organizers. The qualitative analysis was realized in the form of an analysis of the first twenty editions of the prestigious national festival, Sonar music. Music, Creativity and Technology emphasize the different stages of the event organization of which the following can be considered the key tools for its development: project management, programming, production, communication and evaluation. The results show that the new technologies that have been emerging have been implemented in each of these phases, providing a certain "modus operandi", but never changing or replacing any of them.
