Juegos de poder en las organizaciones empresariales de la globalización: estudio crítico y comparado de las aportaciones de su escuela académica homónima

The crisis in globalization has had a measurable impact on social organizations. The aim of this research project is to explain delve into the patterns social organizations, and more specifically business organizations, are following. They are becoming more de-institutionalised systems where employees are disaffected. This research was developed by focusing on literature pertaining to New Management schools of thought. Special interest has been taken on Power Games which origin and development follows a boomerang model; going from North America, Europe, Oceania, Europe and heading back to South America. The school of thought this research paper analyses and this research itself, root from an economic-business base yet also benefits from the contributions made in fields such as Social Sciences (Law, Politics, Anthropology), Humanities (History and Philosophy) and Mixed Sciences (Communication, Social Psychology). The Power Game School (PGS) has been highly successful mainly because it diagnoses “pathologies” in businesses and forecasts business interactions accurately. One of its weaknesses however is that it does not offer effective “solutions or therapies” to counteract these “pathologies”. Within this research project, several proposals for improvement are made and some connection with emergent theories are explored (Political Arena).
