La filosofía jurídico-política de Hume

EL TRABAJO LLEVA A CABO UNA EXPOSICION ESCALONADA DEL PENSAMIENTO DE HUME, EN LA CUAL VAN DESCRIBIENDOSE SUS FUNDAMENTOS FILOSOFICOS, DETENIENDOSE EN AQUELLOS ASPECTOS MAS RELEVANTES Y ANALIZANDO CRITICAMENTE LAS APORTACIONES A LA FILOSOFIA MORAL Y POLITICA. EL CAP. I DA UNA VISION GENERAL DE LA VIDA DE HUME, SIEMPRE NECESARIA PARA COMPRENDER LA RELACION DEL FILOSOFO CON SU OBRA Y SU ENTORNO, Y SE EXTIENDE EN OTRAS CUESTIONES COMO LA RELATIVA A LA TRAYECTORIA DE SU OBRA A LO LARGO DEL TIEMPO. EL CAP. II Y III TIENEN LA FINALIDAD DE DOTAR AL LECTOR DE UNOS UTENSILIOS QUE SEAN ADECUADOS PARA INTRODUCIRSE EN LOS ENTRESIJOS DE SU TEORIA DE LA JUSTICIA Y EL ORDEN POLITICO. UNA TESIS QUE INSPIRA TODO EL TRABAJO SOSTIENE LA CONEXION EXISTENTE ENTRE LAS DIFERENTES PARTES DE LA FILOSOFIA DE HUME, ENTRE LA EPISTEMOLOGIA, LA MORAL Y LA POLITICA. CON EL BAGAJE ANTERIOR, SE ENTRA EN LA PARTE CENTRAL DEL TRABAJO. ASI, EN EL CAP. IV SE ANALIZA EL VALOR DE DICHA TESIS EN LA CONCEPCION HUMEANA DE LA JUSTICIA, PRINCIPALMENTE A LA HORA DE CONSTRUIR UN "ARTIFICIO", ES DECIR, LAS CONVENCIONES QUE GENERAN LA SOCIEDAD Y PROMUEVEN LA COOPERACION ENTRE LOS AGENTES. SE ESTUDIAN TAMBIEN OTRAS CUESTIONES COMO LA DEFINICION DE LA "SIMPATIA" COMO ELEMENTO DE CONSOLIDACION SOCIAL, EL ESTABLECIMIENTO DE UNAS REGLAS MINIMAS DE CONVIVENCIA Y EL CONCEPTO DE UTILIDAD. EL CAP. V TRATA ESTA PROBLEMATICA DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DE UN ORDEN POLITICO YA ESTABLECIDO, LA LEGITIMACION DE LA AUTORIDAD, EL DEBER DE OBEDIENCIA Y LAS FUNCIONES DEL GOBIERNO. SE ENTRA, ADEMAS, A ANALIZAR LA CUESTION DEL CONTRATO SOCIAL Y SU CRITICA, TAN DE MODA HOY. AL SER EL PENSAMIENTO DE HUME UN PENSAMIENTO FECUNDO, ES OBJETO DE CONTINUAS REFERENCIAS EN LA FILOSOFIA ACTUAL. ASI, EL CAP. VI Y ULTIMO TRATA ALGUNA DE LAS CUESTIONES EN LAS QUE HUME ES UN ANTECESOR RELEVANTE.
