Abstract
dc:descriptionUN ALGEBRA DE COMPOSICION A ES UN ALGEBRA CON UNA FORMA CUADRATICA N (X) ESTRICTAMENTE NO DEGENERADA DE TAL MODO QUE N (XY)=N (X) N (Y) PARA TODO X,Y.LAS ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION CON UNIDAD HAN SIDO LARGAMENTE ESTUDIADAS Y RESULTAN SER: EL CUERPO BASE F, UNA EXTENSION CUADRATICA SEPARABLE, F F, UN ALGEBRA DE CUATERNIOS GENERALIZADA O UN ALGEBRA DE CAYLEY-DICKSON GENERALIZADA.EL ESTUDIO DE IDENTIDADES EN ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION SIN UNIDAD PARTE DE LOS TRABAJOS DEL PROFESOR OKUBO EN 1981. EN ELLOS SE CLASIFICAN LAS ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION CON FORMA BILINEAL ASOCIATIVA (F (XY,Z)=F(X,YZ)). ESENCIALMENTE APARECEN LAS ALGEBRAS PARAHURWITZ Y LAS DE PSEUDOOCTONIONES. SOBRE CUERPOS DE CARACTERISTICA 3 EL ESTUDIO ES ENORMEMENTE COMPLICADO. EN LA MEMORIA PROPONEMOS UNA NUEVA DEFINICION DE ALGEBRA DE PSEUDOOCTONIONES, CON LA CUAL EXTENDEMOS Y UNIFICAMOS LOS RESULTADOS DE OKUBO. OTRA IDENTIDAD HABITUAL EN ALGEBRA ES LA LEY FLEXIBLE: X(YX)=(XY)X. EL PROFESOR OKUBO PROBO QUE LAS ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION FLEXIBLES DE DIMENSION FINITA SON LAS QUE POSEEN UNIDAD, LAS PARAHURWITZ Y LAS DE OKUBO. LA IDENTIDAD X(XX)=(XX)X GENERALIZADA A LA LEY FLEXIBLE. EN LA MEMORIA PROBAMOS QUE TODA ALGEBRA DE COMPOSICION DE DIMENSION FINITA QUE SATISFAGA LA IDENTIDAD (XX)X=X(XX) ES FLEXIBLE. TAMBIEN SE CLASIFICAN LAS ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION DE GRADO 2 (I.E. AQUELLAS EN QUE TODO ELEMENTO GENERA UNA SUBALGEBRA DE DIMENSION MENOR O IGUAL QUE 2. LAS DERIVACIONES DE UN ALGEBRA PUEDEN ENTENDERSE COMO UNA MEDIDA DEL GRADO DE SIMETRIA DEL ALGEBRA. EL ESTUDIO DEL ALGEBRA DE DERIVACIONES PARA ALGEBRAS DE DIVISION REALES DE DIMENSION FINITA FUE LLEVADO A CABO POR BENKART Y OSBORN EN 1981. LAS ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION PRESENTAN NOTABLES SEMEJANZAS CON ESTAS ALGEBRAS. POR EJEMPLO, LAS UNICAS DIMENSIONES FINITAS QUE PUEDEN DARSE SON 1,2,4 U 8. EN LOS CAPITULOS 4 Y 5 NOS OCUPAMOS DEL ESTUDIO DEL ALGEBRA DE DERIVACIONES DE LAS ALGEBRAS DE COMPOSICION DE DIMENSION FINITA SOBRE CUERPOS ALGEBRAICAMENTE CERRADOS DE CARACTERISTICA 5. LAS PARTES SEMISIMPLES QUE APARECEN SON G2, S1(3) Y S1(2). TAMBIEN SE PRUEBA QUE, EN GENERAL, TALES ALGEBRAS DE DERIVACIONES SE PUEDEN SUMERGIR COMO DERIVACIONES DE ALGEBRAS CONOCIDAS. NUEVOS EJEMPLOS DE ALGEBRAS DE DIVISION REALES SON MOSTRADOS.
