Determination of Stability Conditions of a Pyrometer in a Continous Production
Abstract
dc:description.abstractAccurate temperature measurement is essential in battery production, especially during the preheating phase before foaming. This thesis explores the stability of pyrometers, non-contact infrared sensors, used in continuous production at BMW Group Debrecen. Inaccurate readings can lead to faulty products and increased waste. Through practical experiments and statistical analysis (including MSA and ANOVA), the study examined how factors like sensor distance, emissivity settings, dirt accumulation, and ventilator speed affect measurement accuracy. The results highlight the importance of correct sensor setup, regular maintenance, and calibration. The findings offer practical recommendations to improve pyrometer reliability, helping manufacturers enhance process efficiency and product quality.
