The Power of Imagination in Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis focuses on Anne Shirley’s power of imagination as a recurring theme in the book series and miniseries Anne of Green Gables by analyzing the chapters and scenes in detail that are connected to the heroine’s imagination, focusing on its dimensions and meanings. I am first examining from and internal, then from an external level. My focus will be on such topics as appearance, childhood, books and literature, and finally nature.
