obesity is excess of body fat with a BMI greater than 30kilograms per meter square. it is due to multiple factors including unhealthy diet, reduced physical activity genetics, family history and so on. it is associated with many adverse health effects like diabetes type 2, cardiovascular diseases etc which all have high rates of morbidity and mortality. prevention should be stressed.
