Abstract
dc:description.abstractGlioblastoma multiforme is a primary tumor of the Central nervous System affecting mainly the brain. It is classified by the world health organisation as a grade IV glioma. It is indeed a very deadly tumor with an average life expectancy after diagnosis of about 14 months even after surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This review analyses the most recent therapy modalities as well as the ongoing clinical trials with new therapeutic options. Other aspects of the tumor are also discussed, including the pathology and epidemiology.
