Popular Culture’s Growing Role in Shaping Teenagers’ Perception of Body Image

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

In my thesis I examine popular culture's manipulation on teenagers' opinion about the perfect body image, the anorexic-like one, by drawing specific examples from various media contents, such as movies and songs. I conclude my findings by highlighting that several Hollywood actresses and singers speak up for fat acceptance and positive body image.
