Virginia Woolf & the Ontology of the Swerve
Abstract
dc:description.abstract<p>This paper attempts to show how Lucretius' ontology of the swerve, or clinamen, influenced Virginia Woolf's writing. By using Gilles Deleuze, Michel Serres and likeminded theorists, the idea is to not only explicate Lucretian thought, but to also succinctly incorporate it into the Woolfian oeuvre.</p>
