Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe best laid plans of mica and men "gang oft aglee"; therefore, it is advisable to proceed toward a final goal with definite objectives. In writing this thesis it has been necessary to consider a two-fold aspect of modern education; that of meeting requirements in a specific field of endeavor and that of meeting the requirements of the state of Kansas. |Interest in the dramas of Shakespeare grew out of a study of many of his plays. To determine the importance of counsellors in Shakespeare’s plays, it has been necessary to analyze the problems of the young, the adviser from whom they sought counsel, the type of advice given, the use made of the counsel, and the dramatic function to which the playwright put the counselling act.
