The Status of Curricula in the Secondary Schools of Sherman County, Nebraska

The study presented in the pages to follow centers around the high school seniors in the six secondary schools of Sherman County, Nebraska in the school year 1932-33. the number of the seniors included is HO, practically all those enrolled in the schools, the purpose of the study was to gain a vision of the future they contemplate, to ascertain as nearly as possible the pathways they desire to fellow, and having secured this, to determine how fully and definitely the schools of the county are assisting them in the attainment of their educational and vocational goals.|The study was an interesting one and one that proved a delightful task, made so because of the generous cooperation the writer received from his fellow-schoolmen in assembling the data, and the indispensable guidance of William A. Kelly, LL. B, Ph. D., Professor of Education, the Creighton University, Omaha, Nebraska, the schoolmen of Sherman County to whom acknowledgment of gratitude is made are the following: Superintendent Kelley, Wigglecreek Schools; Superintendent Kucera, Rockville|Schools; Superintendent Mulvaney, Hazard Schools Superintendent Samples, Litchfield Schools; and Superintendent Schneider, Loup City Schools.$$
