A Syllabus for the Teaching of Biology in Secondary Schools

The problem of this thesis is 1) to examine the available syllabi of biology courses of the West Central States; 2) to evaluate then according to a set of principles; 3) to determine the needs and trends In the teaching of biology; 4) to construct on the basis of these findings a syllabus in biology suitable In particular for the secondary schools of Nebraska.
