Two methods are used to calculate cross sections which are both compared to theoretical calculations. Comparisons are also made to theoretical relative transition ratios. Finally, cross sections of x-ray transitions for the elements Cs, Ba, and La are compared to the experimental results of Sharma et al. (SH08). Overall, there is good agreement with theoretical calculations. Cases with a large discrepancy relative to theory can be explained by the low intensity Kβ x-ray of 55Mn, and problems fitting peaks near the Kα and Kβ x-ray of 55Mn. In the case of lanthanum where the difference between experimental and theoretical calculations is high, there is good agreement with Sharma et al.
