As traditional student populations decline, understanding and addressing the needs of nontraditional students becomes crucial in achieving institutional sustainability, diversity, and mission alignment. Using an evaluation research methodology, this study draws on in-depth interviews, surveys, and document analysis, to investigate and analyze recruitment strategies, institutional policies, and their alignment with university mission initiatives. This dissertation in practice aims to provide recommendations to colleges and universities for enhancing enrollment initiatives and policies geared toward nontraditional undergraduate students, reducing barriers to matriculation, and promoting overall institutional success.
