In this study, crystals of sodium fluoride with a high surface area to volume ratio were prepared by the addition of an aqueous solution of sodium fluoride to an antisolvent method using ethanol. Key variables in the preparation of these crystals included the amount of water present in the antisolvent, the ratio of salt solution to antisolvent and the rate of stirring. The dissolution of these high surface area to volume crystals were measured using a conductivity probe.
