Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) graduate is often stereotyped as the person who goes to work in middle management of a large corporation and who aspires to a top leadership role in that organization. This is correct to a large degree, but such thinking tends to lose sight of the available options open to the M.B.A. graduate. | In recent years M.B.A. graduates have applied their skills and knowledge to government and educational institutions, nonprofit organizations such as foundations and hospitals, governments of developing nations, and organizations dealing with urban and public affairs. There is a current movement among M.B.A. graduates toward positions in medium and smaller size business enterprises and a return to the individual, entrepreneurial venture, the so-called "small business." Clearly, the options open to an M.B.A. graduate are many and varied.
