Abstract
dc:description.abstractThis thesis investigates the structure of a purely inseparable field extension through the use of an equivalence relation which is defined and examined in Chapter I. Chapter II is included for the topology which is used in constructing a "complete" local ring. Chapter I was taken from [8] and Chapter II from [4].
