A Plan for the Implementation of An Articulation/Tech Prep Program Between A Rural High School in Central Georgia And a Regional Technical School

<p>Students entering the 1990's are being faced with many different decisions as they prepare for successful careers. The workplace of the future is going to be one in which technology plays a major part. Educators are faced with the responsibility of providing students with the educational foundations and opportunities to become successful in the age of changing technologies. All of this is taking place at a time when more and more students are following a general, unfocused curriculum in high school and many are becoming so discouraged that they are dropping out of school altogether.</p> <p>Research on articulation/technical preparation indicates that one of the most valuable curriculum options for this type of student is an articulation/tech prep program which coordinates efforts between the high school and an area technical school.</p> <p>The resulting project shows how one rural high school has met the needs of its students by providing an alternative to the general and college prep program of study.</p>
