Sport behavior was measured by parent-report on the Sports Behavior Checklist-Revised (SBC-R). Team affiliation was measured by parent-report on the Howe Sports Behavior Assessment Scale - Revised (Affiliation Subscale). Finally, attrition was measured through parent report on the Sports Attrition Scale. The current study demonstrates that ADHD boys exhibit higher levels of aggression, and emotional reactivity, coupled with decreased rule following behavior and affiliation with teammates and coaches, when compared to non-ADHD boys. Additionally, the ADHD cohort engaged in team sports for a significantly briefer duration when compared to the control group, with the ADHD cohort also being more likely to discontinue individual sports. Results are considered with respect to current theories of ADHD.","abstract_html":"This study examined differences in sport behavior between boys with and without Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
