<p>This thesis aims to present an improved structure for non-isolated inverters connectedto the grid for solar panel applications. The work done in this manuscript will be reviewed in five chapters as follows: In the first chapter, a comprehensive overview of the various structures connected to the grid for solar panels is done. The confinement of leakage current and common mode voltage in non-isolated structures connected to the grid is studied. In the second chapter, the one-cycle control is reviewed in detail. The basics of the control algorithm, as well as the resources review, are presented. The third chapter proposes two different inverter structure design considerations. The first structure is an isolated multi-level inverter that benefits from not dealing with the ground leakage current. The second structure is a non-isolated grid-tide multilevel inverter. It has so many merits over isolated inverters. Also, the ground current is eliminated in the structure. -The fourth chapter shows the experimental results for both isolated and non-isolated structures to prove the feasibility and accuracy of the design goals discussed in the previous chapters. Chapter 5 lays the conclusion and visualizes the future research areas for further improvements of the inverters for PV applications.</p>
