By carefully building meaningful relationships with my students, I have been able to understand their strengths and challenges. I have learned that students demand high expectations for engaging instruction. The following is an ethnography about my experience as a first year teacher. I will be explaining my perspective on how I interpret the observations I took of my students and the community I serve. Throughout my first year teaching, I have tried and implemented various teaching strategies to suit the wide array of learning needs that my students require.
