Toward Stabilization of the Quantum Pair-Cat State on Superconducting Circuits Platform

Abstract

dc:description.abstract

In this thesis, we introduce a quantum circuit for stabilizing an error-correctable two-mode quantum cat state, known as the pair-cat state. Using Foster decomposition, we derive experimentally feasible circuit parameters that engineer a dominant fifth-order flux nonlinearity, yielding the effective Hamiltonian required for pair-cat state generation. We further present implementations of logical X rotations, show casing the possibility of rotating around the Bloch sphere and encoding quantum information.
