The Effects of Distraction on the Simple Reaction Time of Normal and Retarded Students
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the possible effects of auditory and visual distraction on the simple reaction time performance of normal and mentally retarded high school students. Specifically, these tests were concerned with assessing the effect of various combinations of loud popular music and bright flashing lights upon an individual's ability to attend to a simple reaction test device.
