A Survey of Washington State’s Elementary Schools on the Utilization of Full-Time Teacher Aides

Abstract

It was the purpose of this study to determine how elementary schools utilize their teacher aides; to see if such schools are following any specific or agreed upon plan for training and using aides; and to attempt to determine if size of enrollment has any bearing on the types of assignments assigned to aides.
