Comparative Study of Recitation and Review in Seventh Grade Programmed Geography
Abstract
dc:description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of two methods of reinforcing learning gained from programmed material in seventh grade geography classes. The means used for evaluating effectiveness were: (1) comparing retention of the factual knowledge of the material by students exposed to the two methods immediately after completing the material, and, after a time lapse of six months, and (2) comparing the ability of students to transfer their factual knowledge of the material immediately after completing the material, and, after a time lapse of six months.
