A Comparative Study of Maintenance and Operation Receipts of the High School Districts of Grant County under the “Washington Foundation Plan” and the Pre-1965 State School Support Formula
Abstract
dc:description.abstractIt is the purpose of this study to investigate the merits of the "Washington Foundation Plan" as opposed to the supplanted state apportionment formula of 1965. Procedures of the foundation approach to state support will be applied to operating school districts to compare funds available under that system with those available under the previous method. This study intends to apply the plan to the high school districts of an entire county so that the financial impact of the newly-adopted approach upon small as well as large districts will be thoroughly understood.
