Abstract

The purpose of the study was ( 1) to explore the candidate's concepts of the relationships between form and content found in specific subject matter (photographs of the artist's family); (2) to apply these concepts to a series of oil paintings; and (3) to present conclusions that would suggest modifications of the candidate's painting techniques.
